For the last three decades, Sumter Volunteers Inc., together with the Sumter Community and the Shaw Spouses’ Club, has been expressing heartfelt gratitude to Shaw AFB. In the past, we celebrated this tradition by sharing homemade cookies with the military personnel at Shaw Air Force Base. However, for the past two years, we've adapted our approach to show our appreciation to the dedicated servicemen and women of Sumter in a new and special way. Instead of cookies, we've been showering Shaw with an array of delightful goodies.

The past 29 years Sumter Volunteers Inc., the Sumter Community, and the Shaw Spouses’ Club have Showered Shaw AFB with gratitude and homemade cookies. For two years now, due to Covid-19, we have had to show our Sumter appreciation to the military personnel at Shaw Air Force Base a little differently...instead of cookies we have Showered Shaw with Goodies.
